The History of Intertrain

Intertrain (UK) Ltd is an established professional railway training and assessment provider, City & Guilds, and NVQ approved, offering exceptional railway knowledge and other main stream specific courses, focusing on continual excellence to guarantee satisfaction and development within the industry to meet the needs and nurture commercial Partnerships.

First established in 1997 in York, Intertrain opened a new training location in Doncaster and over the years has continued to expand offering a wide range of established courses.

Intertrain now can offer our customers training in York, Doncaster, London, Birmingham, Manchester, Peterborough, Newcastle, Stoke on Trent, Derby, Bristol and Chesterfield.

Our venue in Chesterfield comes complete with a large depot and sidings which enables training in a realistic and practical environment, as well as technical, plant and small tools courses, Chesterfield is an ideal location for all Machine Controller, Crane Controller and associated attachments training, all these courses are delivered under the Sentinel Scheme.

Intertrain also provides training for our clients at their locations, our commitment to delivering continuous flexible improvement, to facilitate a working correlation is paramount to our company relationships.

The Intertrain team of professional trainers are  highly qualified and experienced; draw upon their knowledge and wealth of experience gained working ‘hands on’ in the rail industry (they offer an amalgamation of 247 years experience), across a wide range of disciplines, to offer you help and advice as and when required.

As well as providing training, Intertrain can deliver a wide range of consultancy and railway professional services, including audit preparation and competency management monitoring for your training and assessment requirements.

To ensure Intertrain maintains first-class values, the cost of all our railway safety training is inclusive of the NCCA Notification fee.
